| I got that the first time, I was making a facetious comment. Gee, thanks It doesn't "hurt," no. There's no data to compare though. You're asking for a statical comparison on a value that doesn't exist in any published material. Did I ask for an empirical efficiency datapoint constant? How else would you compare relative efficiencies? dyno a car with a T56 and then the ROD would be enough for me, I'm sure I wasn't the only one to consider efficency. He said he could try and aswer questions so I asked one. I would bet the guys who engineer and manufacture this thing have an idea about how efficient it is compared to other popular transmissions like the T56. I would bet they don't care, but I'll leave it to the engineer to respond to this point. Good. No, they don't. The only people shedding the 5-speed transmissions are those beating the shit out of them, abusing them. Plenty of guys have high horsepower drag cars (ZHOUND), etc. and apart from clutch damage issues have never had to replace them - something that could happen to the 6-speed just as easily. Again, how do you plan on blowing up multiple 5-speed transmissions?
I don't plan on it, but I am prepared for it from the multiple posts I've seen about it. I am out of time, but I would say your and Spee's contention that anyone who has a failing manual transmission doesn't know how to drive or is "abusing" their trasmission us laughable. I've never been around when a transmission fails from too much power so I can't speak to that, but I can say almost every high milage Z I've been in has some kind of 4th gear grind, mine is pretty bad. So, I guess I forget how to drive when shifting into 4th, along with most every other Z owner here. Give me a break.
Why is it you and Spee like to hate first and think later? You can figure all this out yourself kenny. I'm just trying to figure out what the hell you're talking about. I've been pretty clear, you are the one making facetious comments and wasting my time.
